Yes, Lurrus may potentially be unbanned in Pioneer very soon. Some players are excited at the idea of being able to play with the powerful companion again, while others are worried about the impact it will have on the format.

QUICK UPDATE: WIZARD JUST FIXED THE BUG

According to a Reddit user, MTGO allows you to play it as your companion after the last client update, maybe it is a bug, or maybe it is going to be unbanned in the upcoming days.

It can be even added to your league deck:

Now that there's a possibility that Lurrus could be unbanned, players are wondering what the impact will be. Will the format be warped around Lurrus once again? Or has the format grown enough that Lurrus won't be able to take over?

Lurrus was originally banned in Pioneer back in March 2022 after it was determined that the card was too strong and was warping the format around itself. Since then, the format has been relatively stable and has seen a decent amount of success.

What do you think? Bug or unban?

DISCLAIMER:
Don't try to play Pioneer on MTGO with Lurrus in your deck/sideboard, you will probably get in trouble.
