Ragavan and three other cards banned in Duel Commander
The most recent announcement bans four MTG cards from Duel Commander, the competitive Commander format.
The Duel Commander rules Committee banned four cards in the May 30 rules update.
The cards are Shorikai, Genesis Engine, Bazaar of Baghdad, Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer, and Serra's Sanctum.
Shorikai is only banned as a Commander, due to the difficulty to interact with it in a competitive format without sideboards.
This decision was made in order to keep the playing field as fair and balanced as possible. These cards have been causing problems in the Duel Commander community and were banned in hopes to keep the game more enjoyable for everyone.
